December

December has been a month filled with preparing for the addition of one more little boy to our life. Everyone has been sick and teething and "toddlering"...so we have spent a lot of time home just being a family. Here are some of the highlights...

We went to check out the lights at Peacock Lane. It was fun, but the lights were a HUGE disappointment. There are a couple of streets here in town that have much better light displays.

Christmas was fun this year, as Aaron really understood the concept of how to open a present. Andrew thought the whole things was not worthy of his attention and preferred to lay on the pillow and have a bottle. Aaron "helped" by opening all the presents so brother didn't have to. The train set and table were a big hit and he now wakes up every morning and goes straight to the living room to play with the table. It is marvelous, because even at 6:20 I hear his little feet pitter down the hall. Then I can drag my pregnant body out of bed, make him some milk and I know I have 20 minutes to take a shower before he even thinks about stopping his little Thomas party. It is a great stage!

Speaking of pregnant, I still am!!!!! This is me at 32 weeks!

I am now 36 weeks and 6 days. I have never made it this far before. I am ready to hold are new little boy and love on him and share him with the world. Hopefully soon!

November!!

OK, Yes I know that I never update my blog. I have a million excuses, but they all boil down to no one actually reads it, so it is very low priority. But I figured I might add a little not to those who might happen by:-0

Lots has happened since last March. First and foremost we are expecting our third boy in about 6 weeks. We were a bit surprised that we got pregnant so quickly again, but it is such a wonderful thing to be adding to our family again. This has been a fabulous pregnancy (NOTHING like the last two!) I feel truly blessed.

Aaron is growing so fast! He turned two in July. He says the funniest things everyday, has non-stop energy, loves tractors and trains and can be a huge snuggle bug. He is a very loving big brother and likes to have his brother follow him around. He has a great scene of humor and a strong need to be independent. He does things on his schedule and pushing him is really not productive. He loves to sing "I am a Child of God" and says the cutest little prayers ever. He can either melt my heart with "I love you mommy" or crush it with "I don't have to go to time out, you go to time out!" (Which honestly I might actually need to sometimes, but screaming at your mommy is never alright!) He always keeps me learning and growing as a mother and that is what the best part.

Andrew is all smiles!! He has the best smile and laugh ever. He is always happy (even at 4 am! and when he is puking). He loves his big brother and follows him everywhere. He learned to walk at 8 months and is VERY clumsy. He has already been to the ER 3 times for falls and head trauma...only one CAT scan thank heavens! He has bruises on him always and can't go more then two days without bleeding. But, aside from wrapping him in bubble wrap, there is not much we can do. He turned one on the 5th of November and we are excited for him to start talking. He will laugh out loud sometimes and we have no idea at what, I can't wait till he can tell us what is so funny! He is still working on sleeping through the night, but he has gotten better and we can have 4 day stretches of 7 pm - 4 am! He is going to make a very loving and happy big brother.

Logan and I our busy being parents and all that entails. Logan is in his last semester of school, and will graduate in June (YIPPY!). He is currently working for the Census and enjoys working with the community. I have been running a daycare and preschool from our home since March. It is lots of work, but it is really great to be able to stay home with the boys and be involved in their growing everyday.

We love to get out and about as much as we can. We haven't had a non-pregnant summer in 3 years, so it is a little hard, but we make it work. Plus a 2 and 1 year old require a lot of gear to travel :-)

Summer FUN!!

The Goings and Comings

February was a busy month for us. We took several family outing and tried to pretend like Spring was here (it really isn't, but we are trying to get out of the house).
Having Fun at Indoor Play Park

Hiking the Falls

The boys grew in leaps and bounds. Aaron can now say most words and is making two word sentences. Other then that we are moving into a house this next week. It will be large enough for me to start my bilingual preschool this Fall. The basement is open to the backyard and has a huge amount of space. I am so excited to be able to help make money for my family, but still do something that I am passionate about. It is truly a blessing.

Drew after our hike...He slept through all 4 miles!

Toddler Tantrams and Other of God Blessings

O.K Right now I am trying to see the tantrums that Aaron is throwing as a blessing from Heavenly Father. I mean I do pray for patients and the ability to love those around....so I guess he has a scene of humor and is giving me the opportunity to practice on a frequent bases. I am trying to remember all of the smiles when he is having a hard time, that way I can get to the other side.

So, on Friday Aaron brought me to my knees (literally!!). I had had it and knelt by the couch to pray and try to regroup. As I prayed the screaming in the background stopped. When I said Amen, I heard a little voice beside me say "amen"... I realized he had stopped his tantrum and had moved to stand right next to me and then my little screaming tyrant leaned over and gave me a huge hug. I couldn't help it I just started crying.

I love my children and they teach me so much every day!! I am so blessed!

OMSI Exploration

Today we went to the science museum. Aaron had a great time touching, exploring, learning and growing. We have been trying to make one outing a month to someplace a little more exciting. Aaron has such an adventurous spirit and a curious mind. There is a lot we can do at home, but it is always fun to get out and use other people's environments. Next month we will be going to the Children's Museum as the new infant/toddler room will be ready. We are very excited.

Toddlers can learn a lot at OMSI we....

Constructed ....

Explored...
We touched EVERYTHING ...

Life is Good

Do you ever have those days where you just feel blessed. Today was one of those days. I picked Logan up from work and we went to OMSI... Aaron was his usual energy filled self and Drew slept through the whole thing. I just looked at my family and I felt this overwhelming scene of joy and peace. They are such a blessing to me...I learn to let go and enjoy the moment little by little. To let the laundry go, and play with trucks instead...to forgo the "perfect" house for paint smudged walls and foot prints. I know that Lord has given me so much and I really can not imagin how I deserve even a moment of this, but I guess that is the wonder of our Heavenly Father's love.

Life with a New Born and a Wild Man

It has been nearly 5 weeks since I wrote anything. I seem to spend most of my days in a foggy haze that I can't seem to fully emerge from. Most of it is do to the erratic sleep pattern I have adopted to try and accomplish baby books, house cleaning, laundry, personal grooming, exercising off the baby pounds, feeding of small children, educational and stimulating activities for said children, engaging conversation with husband, homework support and encourager for said husband to finally finish his degree.....the list goes on! I wish that I could be more organized and get it all done in a day.

So...Christmas was very uneventful. We moved the week after, so I tried not to put out too many decorations. Next year I am going to go hog wild!!!

We finally got out Family Pictures back... Here are some of my favorites....

So, I decided instead of yearly resolutions I was going to make monthly ones (easier to keep:-)
January's was GET MOVING!!! (quantifiable, it was get out and move for at least 1 hour 5 times a week) So, I joined baby boot camp. Those who know me, know that i hate to work out. So, going and working out with other mommies has been helpful. I enjoy it much more and I can already feel that I have more energy. I feel like it is a hab My February goal is to get to BUILD A HEALTHY EATING PLAN... Any suggestions would be greatly appriciated.
